Procedural Rule Based Trading Systems form, by far, the largest category, making this list rather intimidating. To avoid that happening, consider each item like you would a book that has a potential to both entertain and enlighten you. Browse through a few links at no cost and read the words of the authors, themselves, just like you would in a book store. On the other hand, if you look upon these as investments, as rightly you should, you may be caught in a catch-22. On the one hand, you must know exactly how a system works before you invest and, on the other hand, if you already know the information, why should you invest? See what I mean? Just browse like you would in a book store. Not every book has immediate investment value. Since these are non-fiction, they will certainly expand your knowledge base. This category consists of trading system rules in text and video format. Software found in this category is used as a teaching tool only. Otherwise, these are the purest form of trading system stripped of auxiliary software tools and infrastructure. Because they are the lowest in cost and represent just pure knowledge, I give this category the highest recommendation. Into this category fall systems for all the major markets, such as, stocks, options, FOREX and futures. Only the briefest information is given below. General information on types of trading systems may help to distinguish between various system hierarchies.
